i HATE updating xanga, and i hate DOING xanga, but for the sake of..history - i will put this up. lol. (i cannot accurately and fully recount what happened though.) On the first day we went to the airport in a taxi, because we decided not to 嘛煩(bother) our friends to drive us there. the meter started at like what $2.75? so i settled down in the car and stared out the window. but as we drove on to the airport, i was interrupted by constand "pleep" and guess what it was? the meter was jumping every 6 freaking seconds!! (i counted) it jumps by like 20 cents. so by the time we got to the end of parkway, (because he said a detour was better because the other road always have traffic. well what do you know, taxi driver - you dont live here.) i think it was already like 10 dollars. we could have walked there for free in 5 minutes. and so we got to the airport for about 26 dollars. (ps: my account of the trip and the pictures will usually not match at all. just to let you know.) so we got on the airplane without much ado. the long plane ride has a mini tv/computer which lets you play games, listen to music or watch a movie :)
my sister lydia got the side seat :P the plane ride felt like 24 hours, but i think it was thirteen. we first stopped at LA in like 3 hours. The airport security was freaking rude, treating us like animals :/ everyone was pissed. Then we did the second long ride to Tai Pei, about 13 hours? give or take. we had like a dinner and two breakfasts. <<airplane food. this one has shrimp it in x( eww... but some of them were pretty tasty
the last one was the fastest, like 2 hours Tai Pei to Hong Kong. and we finally arrived. :)
funky horizontal escalator conveyor belt-thing
and so the first day when we arrived it was in the morning, and we were all feeling beat. i dont remember if we slept or not. too bad no one remembered to take any pictures of where we stayed; it was pretty ok :) <<this was a shop at the airport. i thought it was hilarious. (it reads: Lost City of Snacks)
my brother nathan and a massive metal pebble at the airport.
so we stayed at home and rested in the morning, and i went to see my friends Rie and Anne (NO PICTURES??) also we took sticker photos. not soo good, but WAY better then the one in Texas. then at the end of friday, we ate japanese food :) i had soba and sushi
my sis had eel rice (SO good.)
bubble tea my favorite drink
alright you know what, i'll just say the shopping in hongkong is the best in the world, USA doesn't even come close, and i dont feel like writing anymore. so i'll just post pictures and maybe - just maybe - i'll pick up back where i left off someday. lol. So cute!!
